Vocational Enhancement Programme (VEP) at Newtownhamilton High School 
Since 2005/6, a Vocational Enhancement Programme (VEP) in partnership with the Southern Regional College (Newry) has been developed. This exciting initiative has now been extended to include collaboration with St. Paul's High School, Bessbrook thus giving our Key Stage 4 pupils the opportunity to study a wide range of Occupational Studies, B.Tech and GCSE courses every Thursday, whilst gaining external accreditation through CCEA.

A level 2 in CCEA Occupational Studies is counted by the Construction Industry Training Board as being equivalent to 2 GCSE grades at A*-C.
