Northern Ireland’s Centenary Assembly
Posted on 19th November 2021
This morning we planted a rowan tree to mark Northern Ireland’s Centenary during a short outdoor assembly. The tree was gifted to the school as part of the Trees for Schools Programme.
The tree was planted by staff Member Mr Derek Riddle who has been on the school site both as a pupil and an employee for 48 ½ years, which is almost half as long as the 100 years which Northern Ireland celebrates.
Derek was assisted in the planting of the tree by Head Girl Michelle Knight and Head Boy Josh McKee.
