Every Child An Important Child
Year 9’s hard work, planning and effort in Learning for Life and Work class this year, through the Young Enterprise Quick Start Programme, has culminated in the pitching of their business ideas to a Dragon’s Den. We would like to thank the following judges for participating in the event: Mary Slane, Slane’s Coach and Taxi Ltd, Des Frazer, Forever Warm Homes Ltd and Kieron McComiskeyand Ryan Devlin, Real Deal Property Services. Each of the four groups pitched their business idea to the dragons, ensuring everyone in the group was involved and highlighting their products, promotion and pricing. While being very nervous, each pupil played their part and delivered a high quality presentation. Well done. There was great excitement and anticipation as the judges deliberated over each of the group’s presentations and the results are:

Runner up: Seeds & Sprout
Winner: Logs & Lights

Well done Logs & Lights – an excellent presentation given and all questions answered very well.

Congratulations to each pupil for the contribution you made to your group. You should be very proud of your achievements today.

A huge thankyou to Cathy Morrison, Young Enterprise and to the class teachers, Mrs Flanagan, Mrs Bain and Mrs Ferris.
