29/11/12 - Quilts by Newtownhamilton High & St. Paul's
Year 8 pupils from Newtownhamilton High met up with year 8 pupils from St. Pauls to talk about their work to date on a shared Art quilt project we are doing between the two schools. The theme is ‘My Community’ and it was amazing to see how much we do have in common. Here are some photos from the day where pupils are talking about their appliquéd quilt square. They then decided themselves how the 40 squares would be divided to make two quilts, one for each school to keep.
27/11/12 - Successful Christmas Fayre
Following a successful Christmas Fayre in November 2011, the School Association held a bigger and better Fayre on Thursday 22 November in the school assembly hall. An increase in the number of stalls and visitors contributed to a highly successful evening at which £925 profit was made for school funds but equally important was the strengthening of community links.
School Association Chairman Mr Jim Harrison stated "I thank everyone that contributed to what was a successful night. Everyone pulled together to support the school and for this I am extremely grateful”.
Mrs R Smyth was on hand with her camera to snap pictures which can be viewed on the Gallery section of this website.
All School Association Members are reminded that the next meeting will be held on Thursday 10 January 2013 at 7.30pm in Room 5. Further information on the work of the School Association can be found on the Association page of this website.
