MUSFA Girl Football

With interest in football for girls growing rapidly, the Mid Ulster Schools' Football Association (MUSFA) has introduced competitive cup fixtures at Under 14 & Under 16 age groups.
Therefore, our Newtown girls recently took part at both levels and recorded an impressive 2-1 win over Portadown College in the Under 16 Cup yesterday afternoon. Ellie-May Mitchell and Alanna Ewart got the goals.
Unfortunately, our Under 14 team lost out to a very strong Killicomaine side in their recent cup clash. Kacey Hamilton scored on the day.
Overall, a great start for our girls with hopefully many more opportunities available.
